Utilitarian, Healthy & the Funny side of Thanksgiving
The Utilitarian Side
On this website, have you checked out the pages under TOOLS – plan, prep and maintain? In there you will find 3 links around removing stains. One is natural cleaning solutions, one for fabric and the third for cleaning vases, removing odors, and keeping fresh-cut flowers longer. I go to it because I forget these tips, they have “saved” me countless times. So help yourself and let me know of your favorite solutions and I’ll add them to these pages.
The Healthy Side
This past year I started a second blog, organichealthlifestyle.com. I’ve been placing a greater emphasis on what I’m feeding my body. My awareness has grown due to the knowledge of the daily exposure to toxins in our lives that are invisible to us. The recent blog titled Aluminum roasting pans are convenient…but not healthy is one such post. We are exposed to aluminum on many levels, from using baking powder to the chemtrails in the skies to fluoride in our drinking water. As I continue to read from several sources and watch videos from Dr. Josh Axe and The Health Ranger – they and others continue to inform us that we need to be proactive. Since “disposable” aluminum roasting pans are SO prevalent in our grocery stores this time of year, I felt the need to share what I’ve learned.
The Funny Side
And finally, the third point I wanted to make was on entertainment. Two years ago I visited family in Minnesota and are-they-ever-card-players! This game time has been passed down from great-grandparents to grandparents to parents and now we are teaching our children, nieces and nephews…and the results are the same. We all have a good time together and can end of crying because we are laughing so hard. Those moments are so much more important than anything else. I encourage each of you to find time beyond the prepping & cooking and have time together where you can enjoy each other and give thanks for what you have.
